Empowering Global Worker Families to Thrive Where They’re Called

The Morgan family lives and serves in Indonesia, equipping and discipling the children of global worker families through Modular Study Groups (MSG)—a unique program that helps families continue reaching the unreached while their kids grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Following God's Call

From California to Indonesia

In 2021, Jerad and Kelly Morgan followed God's call from Northern California to Southeast Asia with their 10-month-old in tow. Their heart was to live among the unreached and come alongside families who had left everything to bring the Gospel to the unreached. Today, they serve through MSG, which they describe as a hybrid boarding and homeschool program designed for the children of those global worker families.

30+ students

More than 30 students, primarily in 7th grade through 12th grade, receive academic support, spiritual formation, and community through MSG in Indonesia.

1 week per month

Students live on campus for one week each month, then return to their families for the other three. One parent described MSG as a “mix between a boarding school, a discipleship program, and youth camp.”

When families live in remote, unreached regions, their kids often grow up without access to quality education, Christian community, or mentors who understand their journey.

Many are forced to choose between moving to a new location or sending their kids to full-time boarding school. Both options are costly, disruptive to ministry, and less than ideal for these global worker families.

MSG offers a better way.

The program provides academic and spiritual support within a

loving community of peers and adults rooted in Christ.

DISCIPLESHIP & EDUCATION

Spiritual and academic growth for students—right where their families serve.

ONE WEEK, BIG IMPACT

Monthly intensives offer rhythm and structure without long-term separation from family.

REAL COMMUNITY

Friendship, fellowship, and mentorship give students the community they crave.

Jerad and Kelly come alongside global worker families by cultivating rhythms and community, creating safe spaces where parents and students can invite Jesus into every part of their lives—in the joys and the struggles. Through discipleship, academic support, and fellowship, they help families stay where God has called them so the Gospel can continue reaching those in remote areas of Indonesia.

The heart of MSG is to offer care, encouragement, and practical tools that help families follow Jesus as He meets them where they are and leads them into the life He has for them.

"If it wasn't for MSG, our family would not have been able to keep serving where we are now."

Meet the Morgan Family

Jerad grew up in California and Nevada with little Christian influence. He saw time and again the effects of sin and brokenness in his life and tried almost everything except God to find joy in life. But after being robbed at gunpoint at 17, God got his attention: Jerad called out to Him, opened the Bible, and God met him there, in the midst of his sin and brokenness. For the first time, he believed that Jesus came for sinners like him, so that we might live in relationship with Him.

Kelly grew up in Missouri and when she was 10 moved to Indonesia, where her parents served. Though she knew all the “right” answers, she too found herself in sin and brokenness. God met her there, and as Kelly threw all of her sin at God, He responded to her with unconditional love. Watching other global worker families struggle, especially as their kids entered their teenage and young adult years, planted a deep desire within her to care for global worker families.

Jerad and Kelly met in a college ministry at a church in California. In that season, they both completed different discipleship programs and volunteered in various roles in student and young adult ministries. They connected over a shared love for other cultures and the overlooked as well as a belief that God still does extraordinary things. Now, they live and serve with MSG in Indonesia with their three young children. Beyond the program, they invest deeply in caring for families—helping organize camps and retreats, mentoring youth, and serving with the local church.
